The Exhibit

Magic of Magnetism is an exhibit currently being developed at the Museum of Science, Boston. Located in Cahners ComputerPlace, the exhibit will have several hands-on activities that will demonstrate all of the topics discussed on this site. You'll be able to use iron filing windows and ferrofluid to see what magnetic fields look like, observe how magnetic domains form using our array of magnetic needles, and understand how electricity and magnetism work together with one of our electromagnets. Once you've got the basics down, you can check out some of the incredible advances magnets can make in the ways we travel with our Magnetic Levitation Train! So check back soon to see when the exhibit is ready!
