3-D/4-D Segmentation and Classification of 4-D CT Images (ongoing research)

• Objective: Automatic segmentation of structures from 4-D CT images

• Why is it so important? Currently manual contouring of both target structures and healthy normal tissues are performed before radiotherapy to ensure adequate coverage of target structure with minimal radiation side effects to the important healthy tissue,  especially to some vital organs. Our aim is to perform this process using semi-automatic methods.
