Dana Schaa

I am currently a M.S. graduate student at Northeastern University in Boston, working with Professor David Kaeli and the NUCAR group. Some of my research interests include parallel and distributed processing, multi-core architectures, and high performance computing using GPGPUs. I am also interested in virtualization and spent 6 months as an intern with the VMKernel RAS team this past year.

RESEARCH

My current work has focused on parallel computing using multiple General Purpose Graphics Processors (GPGPUs).

Two years ago I worked as a research assistant collaborating with Interactive Supercomputing on their semi-automated parallelization tool called Star-P.

In 2006 I was a grader for Professor Jacob Shekel in undergraduate computer architecture.

RESUME

Here are copies of my slightly out-of-date resume, and a more current CV.

NOTES

Here's some random Computer Design information, and some Notes/How-to's related to Linux, C programming, virtualization, etc.

I really liked this x86 assembly tutorial.
