Northeastern University Wireless Networks and Embedded Systems Lab

Biography

Amani Al-shawabka received her B.S. degree in "Communication Engineering" from Yarmouk University in Jordan, an MBA degree in "Marketing" from the German Jordanian University in Jordan, and an M.S. degree in "Computer Networks and Security" from Northeastern University, MA, USA. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University, MA, USA. She started her professional career in mobile network companies one year before completing her B.S. degree. She joined the core network engineering team of Petra Jordanian Mobile Telecommunication Company (The Orange Group), Jordan, where she gained extensive experience in most mobile Network Switching Subsystems. She occupied many positions until being the Roaming Team Leader-Technical sector. After gaining this technical experience, she was interested in diversifying her career experience in other areas. She was offered an opportunity to join the marketing team of Umniah Mobile Company (The Batelco group), Jordan. She occupied many positions in wholesale and roaming until becoming a Roaming Expert-Marketing sector. That opportunity helped her build a good knowledge of cellular networks' technical and marketing perspectives. To enrich her marketing knowledge, she obtained an MBA degree in Marketing in addition to her engineering education..
