
I am a graduate student at Northeastern University, pursuing a PhD in Computer Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering . I received my Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University and my Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
My research advisor is Dr. David Kaeli and I am a member of the Northeastern University Computer Architecture Research (NUCAR) group. I am currently working in the area of security for virtual machine environments. My current focus is on building an intrusion detection systems (IDS) for virtual appliances by applying machine learning and data mining techniques.
Previously, I worked on the Chart Checker Project for the Massachusetts General Hospital to create an automatic error-checking system for radiotherapy treatment charts of prostate cancer patients. Before that, I was a member of the Digital Media Lab (DML) at the Advanced Information and Communication Technology Center (AICTC) of Sharif University.
In the Spring of 2010, I taught the EECE 3324:
