Our Motivation...

As the gap between processor and memory/disk speeds continues to grow, the need to effectively utilize hierarchical memory systems becomes increasingly important. We propose to improve the performance of library codes as run on a multi-level memory hierarchy using: methods to increase the locality of reference, cache-conscious data structures and code and data layout transformations
