Our Move to Needham, Massachusetts - 1999, April 29

(digital photography courtesy of www.changed.org)

Even tho our one-bedroom
apartment in Cambridge,
Massachusetts is nearly empty,
Phil still struggles to coordinate
the remaining details of the move.
But with the help of
friends like Gerald
-- he's a MONSTER,
don't let the hat fool you --
everything went smoothly.
Much thanks goes to Jimmy's
structural engineering talents ..
Not a thing moved from its
place in the truck during the
15-mile trip out to Needham!
The happy (and hungry)
packing team
of friends and family ..
front: Viv, Jim, Ed;
back: Jeannie, Steve, Wen, Phil,
George, Eric, Gerald, Jason.
Back in the apartment for
one last time, pizza is consumed,
yet Tosci's ice cream remains ..
but not for long!
Despite the lack of spoons,
our undaunted crew finds various
ways to transport the icy goodness
of Toscanini's from pint to paunch.
There were bottle-tops ..
.. and pizza-box scraps ..
.. and whatever it took!
At the house,
even more help arrives!
"Uh, girls .. we have a truck
to unload here .."
Actually, everybody worked so
hard, and quickly, that the truck
was unloaded blazingly fast!
The cheerful and gracious
unloading team
(who even went so far as to set
up some of our furniture for us!) ..
front: Jason, Winnie, Jen, Wen,
Joyce, Jeff; back: Shoey, Gary,
George, Loren, Phil, Jeannie, Steve.
SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL WHO
HELPED US MOVE AND
GET SETTLED INTO OUR NEW HOME!!
