About

Iraz Medhi has a strong passion for educational equity and student retention with a focus on STEM education for women and minority students. In her role as a senior co-op coordinator within the Electrical & Computer Engineering department, she hopes to create a seamless and intentional learning environment for her students through the experiential learning model. Iraz received her Bachelors’ degree in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles and her Master’s degree in Student Development and Counseling in Higher Education from California State University, Long Beach. She completed for Doctor of Education degree from Northeastern University. Her dissertation was entitled “Female Engineers in Co-op: Exploring the Lived Experiences through Socialization.” She also has extensive international work experience in different areas of higher education.
