IEEE Robotics & Automation Society

The IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS) is a technical branch of its parent organization IEEE.

The IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS) is a technical branch of its parent organization IEEE. Its mission is to “foster the development and facilitate the exchange of scientific and technological knowledge in Robotics and Automation that benefits members, the profession and humanity.”

As a student branch chapter, we are a group of students who are passionate about robotics and hope to see it become a part of our daily lives. Our chapter focuses on the development and advancement of robotics technologies through an interdisciplinary approach. We provide students with the framework to learn, discover, and explore the field of robotics by presenting them with the resources and knowledge necessary to do so.

Our chapter engages students through seminars, workshops, and projects related to robotics. We support research and student led projects and connect project leads with the necessary faculty, lab directors, and funding agencies to help them succeed. IEEE RAS also works with other technical student organizations to promote the development of robotics technologies and projects.
