In what has become an annual tradition, 20 undergraduate students from Northeastern's ECE department spent their spring break visiting and networking with some of the biggest and brightest names in Silicon Valley.

Accompanied by Professors Kaushik Chowdhury and David Kaeli, Coop Coordinator Brian Albrecht, and Executive Director of Corporate Relations John Bowen, the students visited 12 companies during their time in California.

Touring two to three companies each day, the ECE undergraduates explored state of the art laboratories, observed product development centers, and witnessed demonstrations of latest technologies at some of the world's largest multinational technology corporations and dynamic startups.

The trip, which allows students to gain insider knowledge about companies at the heart of the world's technology hub, included visits to several Northeastern-alumni founded companies as well as meetings with the founders, who emphasized the importance of exposing Northeastern's promising ECE students to the opportunities available in Silicon Valley and the surrounding areas.

Silicon Valley Spring Break's inaugural trip was in 2012.
