About Me:

I live in Chennai (India), and presently I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University), Kattankulathur campus, India.
I received the bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kumarguru College of Technology, Bharathivar University, India, in 2002, the Master of Engineering degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Government College of Technology, Anna University, India, in 2006 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from SRM University, in 2015. I completed post Centre for Energy and Electric Power, Faculty of Engineering and the Built environment, Tshwane University of technology, South Africa, in 2016.
I was awarded Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) - Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India under Prof. Brad Lehman, as a visiting research scientist in his Power Electronics Research Group at Northeastern University.

Research Interests:

Design of Power Electronic Converters includeing DC to DC converters and Z-Source Inverter and MLIs for RE Applications; PWM Strategies for power Converters and Drives; Control and Design of Grid Connected RES Systems; Development of Electrical Vehicle and its Charging System

Ongoing Projects:

Project: Multi Input Multi Output DC to DC Converter
Description: This work researches new Multi Input Multi Output DC to DC converter for PV connected micro grid, which can help to access the micro grid battery charging and power distribution.

Project: Plug-and-Play Submodule PV
Description: The objective of this work is to dsign plug-and-play PV submodule structure and its digital controller for fixable PV power plant
