The JavaPorts QoS GUI

The QoS GUI is used to configure and manage the resource monitoring modules by:

  • Defining and editing the machine pool
  • Selecting a reference machine
  • Launching and terminating the resource monitoring modules
  • Displaying the measured resource information
  • Editing the setup data (e.g. QoS measurements frequency and number of past points to retain)

In addition, the QoS GUI allows running QoS sessions by:

  • Loading applications and viewing their ATG and behavioral graphs
  • Finding a mapping that satisfies a desired QoS level in terms of a selected metric
  • Using a mapping heuristic and performance estimator to find the best mapping
  • Displaying the mapping results
  • Saving the configuration file of the best found mapping
