Welcome to the Sun Group!
Our reserach interests include multifunctional materials and devices for wireless communication systems and for energy harvesting in the Center for Microwave Magnetic Materials and Integrated Circults. Particularly we focus on novel magnetic, ferroelectric and multiferroic materials and devices for RF/microwave wireless communications applications such as antennas, phase shifters, filters, circulators, etc., and new materials and devices for energy harvesting applications.
Short Bio: Nian X. Sun (Ph.D. Stanford University) is assistant professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Northeastern University. Prior to joining Northeastern University, he was a Scientist at IBM and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies between 2001~2004. Dr. Sun was the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award in 2008, the ONR Young Investigator Award in 2007, and the 1st Prize IDEMA Fellowship in 2000. His research interests include novel magnetic, ferroelectric and magnetoelectric materials and devices; materials and device properties at RF/microwave frequency range; energy harvesting materials and devices; micro/nanotechnologies, etc. He has published over 60 papers, and is funded by NSF, ONR, etc. |
