From dugarte@ECE.NEU.EDU Wed Jul 13 07:56:47 2005 Date: Tue, 21 Jun 2005 10:18:16 -0400 From: Daniel Ugarte To: A. Bruce McDonald Subject: Re: Call for Papers for IEEE DySPAN 2005 (Nov 8-11, 2005, Baltimore Harbor, Maryland, USA) (fwd) Hi Bruce, That will be a great opportunity, I was thinking on on modificating the MWCN paper to a more pricing topic so chances to get accepted will increase. The idea will be to use the same methodology to find the capacity upperbound to measure the maximum demand of dynamic spectrum access nodes, so a "separate billing & control network" would be able to allocate or clear frquency bands for dynamic nodes use. The concept already exists as "clearing houses" responsible to to do the allocation for any new node hat want to mke use of the spectrum for the case of already assigned frequency were licensees exist, a real time (spot market) similar to the one existing for energy (electricity) delivery could be implemented. I presented a small paper for the telecom policy class for spot markets, and we could merge it with the mWCN paper to get a new one. What do you think? -Daniel Quoting "A.
