Biography

Nian Sun is assistant professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Northeastern University. He obtained his B.S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technologies in 1993, M.S. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1996, and Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in 2001. He worked as a scientist at IBM and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies before he joined Northeastern University in 2004. His research interests are in the area of microwave magnetic materials and devices, magnetic thin films and microdevices, magnetoelectric materials and devices, nanotechnology and biological aplications of magnetic nanowires.
