Professor Prasad received the B.Sc. degree from the University of Mysore,
India and the S. M. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University, Cambridge,
Massachusetts.
Professor Prasad has done research in electromagnetic theory and applications
including antennas. She is co-author with R. W. P. King of the book "Fundamental
electromagnetic theory and applications," which was published by Prentice-Hall
in 1986. Her current research areas are: microwave and high speed semiconductor
devices and circuits and optoelectronic circuits. On-going research projects
include large signal characterization , modelling and optimization of heterojunction
bipolar transistors (HBT's) for applications in high power and personal
communication circuits, application of neural networks to semiconductor
device characterization and characterization of optoelectronic devices
and integrated circuits.
