1998 SYMPOSIUM ON VLSI CIRCUITS
Hilton Hawaiian Village
Honolulu, Hawaii
June 11 - 13, 1998
The 1998 Symposium on VLSI Circuits will provide those involved in the design of
integrated circuits an opportunity to meet and present important new work at an
international forum. The three day Symposium will continue the successful format and
atmosphere established by the previous meetings, and partially overlap
the 1998 Symposium on VLSI Technology, which is being held at the same hotel.
The scope of Symposium covers all aspects of VLSI circuits, such as:
- circuits for digital, analog, memory, communications and signal
processing applications, including A/D and D/A converters, mixed
analog/digital functions and interface circuits
- systems and architectures related to VLSI circuits
- fundamentals related to the above subjects, including innovative
circuits and device structures.
The emphasis will be on circuit design. Papers will be considered on the
basis of originality and quality. Though the circuits need not necessarily be
implemented in a semiconductor chip, measured results, particularly for
analog submissions, are desirable. There will be several invited papers on
emerging VLSI circuit technologies.
SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Prospective authors must submit summaries in the format of two pages of
camera-ready copy. Those interested in submitting papers should
contact the Secretariat as early as possible to receive an author's Kit.
Accepted papers will be printed in the digest of Symposium papers without
opportunity for further change. The two page summary and 50 copies should be sent to
Widerkehr and Associates (North America and Europe) or to the Business Center for
Academic Societies Japan (all countries except North America and Europe).
Deadline for Receipt of Summaries is January 7, 1998

To improve the probability for acceptance of a submitted paper, the paper should
describe original work with specific results from experiments or simulations.
The content of the paper must not be announced or published prior to the Symposium.
INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
Prospective attendees can obtain further information and forms for Symposium
registration and hotel reservations by contacting their secretariat. Submissions
from universities are encouraged. Partial travel expense support for students
who are presenting papers is available upon request.
Preceding this Symposium, the 1998 Symposium on VLSI Technology
will be held at the same location.
