June 9 - 13, 1998
Dear Author(s):
Welcome to the 1998 Symposia on VLSI Technology and VLSI Circuits. We appreciate your interest in submitting a paper to the Symposia. Enclosed in this Paper Preparation Kit you will find all the necessary information and forms for the preparation of your submitted paper. The accepted papers will be printed in the Digest of Technical Papers as received, without opportunity for further changes.
The scope of the Technology Symposium
Covers all aspects of VLSI technology, such as: new concepts and breakthroughs
in VLSI devices and processes; new devices including quantum effect devices with
possible VLSI implications; new materials, patterning and fabrication technology
for VLSIs; simulation, modeling, design, metrology and testing of devices and
processes; packaging and reliability of VLSI devices; monitoring, modeling, control
and automation of VLSI manufacturing; and theories and fundamentals related to
the above subjects. Submitted papers should report original and previously
unpublished work, with specific results from experiments or simulations.
The scope of the Circuits Symposium
Covers all aspects of VLSI circuits such as: circuits for digital, analog, memory,
communications and signal processing applications, including A/D and D/A converters,
mixed analog/digital functions and interface circuits; systems and architectures
related to VLSI circuits; and fundamentals related to the above subjects, including
innovative circuits and device structures. Submitted papers should report original
and previously unpublished work, with specific results from experiments or
simulations.
The emphasis will be on circuit design. Though the circuits need not
necessarily be implemented in a semiconductor chip; measured results, particularly
for analog submission are desirable.
In order to insure that your paper receives a complete review,
it is imperative that you follow all the instructions and submit
all the required documentation. Enclosed to assist you are:
The deadline for RECEIPT of camera-ready papers is January 7, 1998. Your cover letter, camera-ready paper (plus 50 copies), 75 word abstract (plus 5 copies), and copyright transfer form MUST ARRIVE at the Conference Office by that date. We are sorry but due to review deadlines, papers received after that date will not be accepted for review.
If accepted for presentation, the content of the paper must not be announced or published prior to the Symposia.
The Technical Program Committee will review all submitted papers and authors will receive notification of the Committee's decision around March 1, 1998.
We thank you for your interest in the Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits. If at any time a question exists, don't hesitate to contact the Conference Office at + 1 301 527 0900.
