All engineering students take a common curriculum during the first year and do not commit to an engineering major until the beginning of the sophomore year.Cooperative education begins after the first academic year and continues until graduation with students alternating periods in school with paid-engineering-work periods. Our students graduate with 18 months of real-world experience from our 600 engineering co-op employers in 33 states. Additionally, many of our students complete a minor in disciplines such as Business, Computer Science, and Biomedical Engineering without taking course overloads. Engineering Wednesdays
Every Wednesday is Engineering Wednesday at Northeastern (except December 29, 2011). This "mini" open house for prospective undergraduate engineering students and their families is an engineering-specific information session followed by a tour of the College of Engineering led by one of our students. It is an opportunity to learn about our academic programs, cooperative education, support services, and the admissions process. It’s also a great time to see our facilities, meet other faculty and staff, and get your questions answered. Please click here for more information
