Welcome to the graduate program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University. The students and faculty in our department are engaged in innovative and exciting research in areas ranging from the design, analysis, and optimization of high performance computing systems or the fabrication of cutting edge microelectromechanical actuators to the development of new sensing and signal processing methods for the detection and characterization of buried landmines. One measure of the quality of our program is seen by the fact that in New England, our department is second only to MIT in the size of our sponsored research budget. More than anything, it is the people who make the Department what it is. Among the faculty are 5 individuals who currently hold or have recently held the most prestigious young investigator awards from the National Science Foundation and and Office of Naval Research. A number of our recent Ph.D. currently hold faculty positions throughout the United States and Canada; other grads have gone onto careers in government and industry around the world. Please contact Faith Crisley, (Coordinator for Graduate Affairs) if you have any questions about our graduate programs, or about applying to Northeastern.
