(20 Dec 2023) Welcome to Design and prototyping of optical
systems. Unlike
EECE7105 or EECE4646, which are about the fundamentals of optics, this
course is a hands-on experience building prototypes on an optical
table. It should be very interesting for anyone doing experimental
work in optics. We will do about six experiments where you will learn
to put the equipment together on the bench and make measurements with
cameras, power meters, spectrometers, and other devices. Lectures
will be just enough to help you do the lab work. Please feel free to
contact me with any questions. I look forward to seeing you in the
spring. The material on this page will be updated soon.

Note that the 3-digit number in the LED model number is the wavelength in nanometers. Directions are included if you are the first to use an LED and need to cut the leads. |
