The Department of Cooperative Education does not set pay rates for co-op employers. Wages are set by co-op employers.
Students salary experiences vary according to the company and the level of sophistication of the work. The table below shows the typical range that we saw for the calendar year 2010. Exceptions in either direction were not unusual.
Employers sometimes prorate salary offers to co-op students according to what fraction of the academic program has been completed. That fraction for the students going to work in January of 2008 is included in the table.
