NEEDS TO INFORM ME OF THAT FACT NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JANUARY 29th, 2010 AND INFORM THEIR LAST CO-OP EMPLOYER OF THEIR DECISION VIA EMAIL - WITH A "VISIBLE" COPY OF THAT EMAIL SENT TO ME !
 
THIS ACTION EFFECTIVELY TERMINATES YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND CONTACT WITH THAT EMPLOYER !






ALL STUDENTS WHO WERE ON LAST CO-OP DURING SUMMER II AND/OR FALL 2010 SEMESTER(S) ARE REQUIRED TO MEET WITH THEIR CO-OP COORDINATOR, IN A TIMELY MANNER, TO "REFLECT" ON THEIR PREVIOUS CO-OP WORK EXPERIENCE, IF THEY WISH TO BE REFERRED TO PROSPECTIVE CO-OP EMPLOYERS !  

MAKE SURE THAT YOU SUBMIT THE REQUIRED EMPLOYER/STUDENT EVALUATION &POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS TO ME, BY MY POSTED DEADLINES!

BEGINNING WITH THIS WITH THE SUMMER II / FALL 2010 SEMESTERS - ALL STUDENTS RETURNING FROM CO-OP ARE REQUIRED BY NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY TO COMPLETE A STUDENT EVALUATION FORM.

ADDITIONALLY, A STUDENT'S SUPERVISOR IS REQUIRED TO EVALUATE  STUDENT PERFORMANCE.

INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED TO DIRECTLY TO STUDENTS AND SUPERVISORS BY "CENTRAL CO-OP SERVICES".


FINALLY, MAKE CERTAIN TO UPLOAD AN UPDATED AND "PROOFED" RESUME INTO myNEU COOL, BY THE POSTED DEADLINE. 



ANY STUDENT WHO FAILS TO MAINTAIN THE REQUIRED GRADE POINT AVERAGE, ALLOWING THEM TO PROGRESS WITH THEIR CLASS, WILL BE CONSIDERED INELIGIBLE TO INTERVIEW FOR "CO-OP" POSITIONS DEVELOPED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATION. THEY MAY HOWEVER DEVELOP THEIR OWN "CO-OP" EMPLOYMENT AND PETITION FOR MY APPROVAL OF THEM AS ONE TIME "STUDENT DEVELOPED POSITIONS".

STUDENTS MAY, IF THEY WISH, UTILIZE ANY PERSONAL CONTACTS THAT THEY MAY HAVE, WORKING IN TANDEM WITH THEIR COOP COORDINATOR, TO OBTAIN A "STUDENT DEVELOPED CO-OP POSITION" ; AND YOU MUST RECEIVE OUR APPROVAL IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR CO-OP WORK.

FINALLY, FACTORS SUCH AS YOUR GRADE POINT AVERAGE, TRANSPORTATION ISSUES, GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, SECURITY CLEARANCES AND COORDINATOR SCREENING MAY ULTIMATELY IMPACT YOUR REFERRALS. THEREFORE, INDICATING A STRONG INTEREST OR PREFERENCE FOR A POSITION DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEE A REFERRAL TO AN EMPLOYER.
